Pasa Yog
Pasa Yog
A rare planetary combination in which all the five planets occupy one of the Houses in one’s horoscope. It is as if the universe conspires to sync and co-ordinates everything but the actual result shall depend on the placement, aspect and conjunction in birth chart and we have to see whether that planet is benefic or malefic in birth chart.
Interpretations of the ‘Pasa Yog’
It occurs in a native’s horoscope if all the planets except Rahu and Ketu occupy any five signs in the Birth Chart, it is called Panch-anana (Pasa yoga) Yoga.
Pasa Yog effects will be visible when house lord or planet placed in that house comes in dasa-antardasa in birth chart or when that planet transits in its original location in horoscope.
It can be seen that how placement of planets in houses and friendly signs gives good effects to native, same results can be reversed if this planets are placed in enemy signs or in "tic" houses (6, 8 and 12th houses are called "tic" houses as they give bad results to native).
Results will be mixed if some planets are benefic while others are malefic.
The word ‘Pasa’ literally means dice. It is a noose or a snare or a trap which can turn both ways. It binds and entraps the soul to the world of temptations and material pleasures. The ‘Pasa Yog’ refers specifically to a noose attribute to Lord Shiva or Yama and it has a split manifestation in the native’s life. The dual nature of the Pasa Yoga word in extending different outcomes for different astrological signs, some extremely auspicious and some not so auspicious.
This Yoga is based on the five Planets / Rashis. It is significant to note that all divinations differ with regard to the number ‘5’. Some consider it extremely auspicious while some consider it negative. It represents the Manifested in the created world which has both its share of good and evil , therefore the number ‘5’ may give either good or bad result.
Duality of the ‘Pasa Yoga’
This Yog can render a person with good character and the capacity for ensuring joy to himself and others, especially if it is associated with related traits of inner realization, growth and fulfilment and the native walks on the path of ‘Dharam’.
If the person walks on the path of righteousness and is good judge between good and evil, he shall be blessed with positive outcomes.
However, if the native is entrapped by his egocentricities, selfishness and makes efforts only for material enhancement at the cost of spiritual nourishment, he shall be caught in the web of material temptations and unable to remain in a happy state. In such a case he shall reflect poor character and be doomed to misery.
The Nabhasa / Akriti Yog in the native’s horoscope shall influence the manner in which the ‘Pasa Yog’ operates.
Other factors which are responsible for influencing the course of the ‘Pasa Yog’ in its manifestation in the native’s life. Sun, Moon and any other good character supporting Yogs.
If the other factors support a capable and secure native, then the ‘Pasa Yog’ is favourably directed else if malefic factors indicate an insecure and self-centred personality, the ‘Pasa Yog’ is negatively directed.
The fifth planet ‘Jupiter’ plays an all –important role in the chart of those who are under the influence of ‘Pasa Yog’. If Jupiter is favourably disposed, both in the natal and birth chart, the native shall be blessed with wisdom, knowledge and good fortune in all aspects. They will then opt for the highest and noblest path towards self-fulfilments and betterment of those around them.
However, if Jupiter is unfavourably disposed, the native shall be led towards a path of self-destruction in the absence of the protective shield cast by the aura of Jupiter.
Pasa Yoga also suggests incarceration of some kind. However this statement should not be taken in its literal sense since Pasa Yog in itself cannot make a person imprisoned unless there are other factors in the chart indicative of the occurrence.
The presence of Lagna and the Lord of the Lagna in the 6th and 8th House is a powerful indicator of chances of imprisonment being strong in the native’s chart.
