Purva Bhadrapada is the twenty-fifth nakshatra in Vedic astrology. Its presiding deity is Brihaspati or the planet Jupiter. It is one of the third pairs of our twin nakshatras, its twin nakshatra being Uttara Bhadrapada. The Hindu deity for this Nakshatra is Aja Ekapada, which is actually a one-footed goat. The nakshatra represents mystery, supernaturalism and occult sciences. It also represents honesty, principles and benevolence.
