Shravana nakshatra is the twenty second nakshatra out of the 27 nakshatras in vedic astrology. Shravana nakshatra lies within the arena of the Makar rashi or Capricorn zodiac sign. The arena of Shravana nakshatra is considered as a device arena of Goddess Saraswati and hence it exudes wisdom, knowledge, education and wisdom. Hence, the natives in this nakshatra are intelligent and learned and become very famous. The presiding deity of this nakshatra is Lord Vishnu, the protector of the Universe. The translated meaning of Shravana is "Hearing" or "the one who leaps".
