Hasta nakshatra is the thirteenth nakshatra out of the 27 nakshatras in vedic astrology. Consisting of 5 stars, hasta constellation is seen completely within Virgo and its lord is the Moon. The ruling deity of this nakshatra is Savitar, which is a part of the sun, the influence of which makes the native jovial and carefree. The natives born under hasta nakshatra are known to be intelligent, industrious, and reasonable and also creative. Savitar as the ruling deity has the ability to give life and so this nakshatra is associated with childbirth and forming a family.
